Thank you for visiting Derek Bird Agency! I have been an agent for over twelve years now. I have two offices located in Gretna and Plattsmouth, Nebraska. I am licensed in Property & Casualty, Life and Health, and I also recently acquired CHFC designation. We offer auto insurance, home and renters insurance, life, and health insurance, along with many other lines of insurance. We do also offer financial services which is a part of our holistic approach of helping customers prepare the protective plan possible.

A little bit about myself, I was born and raised on ranch in small town Missouri. I have a wonderful wife and 4 amazing children that support me every step of the way! I received my degree in Marketing from the University of Missouri in 2007. After graduation, I started working for a SF agent in a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. In 2009, my family and I moved to Nebraska to start my own agency in Plattsmouth. We started off with a small team in our original Plattsmouth office and now we are a family of 8, with two office locations to serve you. We have a great customer-centric team and all the team members are licensed to serve your insurance needs. Our agency has been engaging and supporting the local community and businesses. We have partnered with Project Hope, Heartland Food, American Red Cross, and local community outreach.

Our ultimate goal is to make sure that our customers are well prepared for any unforeseen situations. We intend to plan and prepare for the future. We aspire to be that agency that is alongside you at every step of your life starting from your first car to your first home and your journey from there.
